Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson puts against each other, two of the latest super cars: the 2012 Jaguar XKR-S and the 2012 Nissan GT-R facelift. The Nissan GT-R and the Jaguar XKR-S are not the most obvious competitors, but if you take a closer look, you will see various similarities between these two coupes.
The Nissan GT-R Facelift is powered by a 530 PS and 612 Nm of torque V6 turbocharged engine, which can accelerate it from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3 seconds. The Jag is far from this performance, however, Jeremy Clarkson still puts it against Nissan’s Godzilla.
The 2012 Jaguar XKR-S is powered by a larger and more powerful V8 engine, good for 550PS and 680Nm of torque. Jaguar’s specifications say that the 2012 XKR-S is able to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds and that it has a top speed of 186mph (300km/h).
But the most important difference between these two super cars is the fact that the 2012 XKR-S is rear wheel drive, while the GT-R facelift has a very intelligent all wheel drive system.
