Honda’s UK based performance division, is currently working on developing a hot version of the Jazz facelift. The previous generation of the Honda Jazz, which is called Fit on some markets, has a Mugen performance version, called F154 SC.
The 2012 Mugen Honda Jazz will be powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre VTEC engine, similar to the one powering the Civic Type R. Mugen is also considering using the same supercharged hybrid powertrain currently powering the Honda CR-Z. In any case, the Mugen Honda Jazz will get awfully close to the 200 hp mark. In a car this size, so much power could do some real damage on the race track. Mugen will probably fit the Jazz with a stiffer suspension, bigger brakes and most definitely a new aerodynamics package. Some interior updates are not entirely out of the question.
We will have more details on the Honda Jazz Mugen as soon as they’re available.
