Acura-Honda begin making Acura NSX in late 90′s, thats when they created the first Japanese super car. That legendary acura nsx was endorse by many other racing companies because of its Power, Handling and looks.

But they ended Acura NSX production in late 2005 and many Car Enthusiasts, just like myself were disappointed :( But Acura-Honda is about to change that. In fact they did it already :)

The 2012 Detroit Auto Show was a blast and we were on hand for the introduction of Acura’s new NSX Concept. As one of the most anticipated introductions of the show, we were kinda scared that the car might not meet our expectations and will disappoint us again. Tell you what, they didn’t disappoint us :) . Although We did still hear some grumblings about lackluster styling or disappointment in the power, but they were few and far between.

The old NSX used a mid-mounted V6 to power the rear wheels. The new 2012 Acura NSX adds a bit of a twist. Like the old car, this NSX will also be powered by a V6 placed behind the driver. However, this new concept car is all wheel drive with a hybrid powertrain that is used to power the front wheels. (more vtec :) )

That old dude in the middle getting all the attention is Takanobu Ito and his the Honda CEO, In case you guys are all wondering! :) He was very pleased to announced that the new Acura NSX will be expected to be on the road in the next three years. In yet another twist, the car will actually be built in Ohio with development undertaken by Honda R&D in the USA.

Big Thanks to Ford, without them we would not be able to attend the show, who offered to fly us to Detroit and grant us access to the show as well as their headquarters.

Did Acura just steal that grille design straight from Mazda without asking or are they just bitter that Kia stole their Civic design in the Forte Koupe?
