Since the German carmakers just verified plans to unveil the compact model at the upcoming 2013 NYIAS (New York International Auto Show) at the end of this March, perhaps, it is the right time for the United States to meet the 7th generation of the Volkswagen Golf hatchback.
Volkswagen will show off the regular hatchback versions of the Golf, comprising the entry level TSI model that has been powered by a latest 1.8liter turbocharged gasoline unit along with the direct injection that changes the 2.5liter inline-five, and also the TDI along with 4-cylinder turbo diesel. In addition, VW also will show the latest Golf GTI hot hatch that has been powered by 2.0liter turbocharged petrol, which will be able to generate 217 hp in the base trim and 227 hp along with the great performance package.
Besides that, the latest Golf that currently won the prestigious European Car of the Year Award and is also obtainable in Europe and the other regions around the world will be sold in United States in the first half of ten next year as a 2015 model. This new Golf will be manufactured at the Volkswagen’s Puebla factory in Mexico.
