2014 Mazda6 Diesel Racer

As you may recall, in the Last June Mazda has revealed news said that Mazda has a plan to bring a version of the most recent twin-turbo diesel engine into the Grand Am series racing. For now, the brand has just unveiled a studio photo of this race car.

This car, which will be motorized by a 2.2-liter dual-stage diesel engine, will run in the GX class that was made to let the most recent technology to the competition. Mazda will launch the car during the next Rolex 24 Hours of Dayton in the next month, in which the brand will follow its 24th class win in the American endurance classic.

Recent news has said that Mazda has taken the win in both 2010 and 2008, but not since then. Unfortunately, the official information about the details isn’t available yet, but we expected that the engine will create more than the 400 hp while it is also sharing its sixty-percent of its components in addition to the production engine lined up as to the great Mazda6 later this year.
