Porsche revealed their new 911 GT3 RS 4.0, a very special sportscar which will be limited to 600 cars. This GT3 is essentially a track car, which Porsche optimized to also be road legal. The power comes from a 4.0LT six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine developing 368 kW at 8,250 rpm and 460 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm. With 125 hp/liter, the GT3 RS 4.0 has 0.2-liters of displacement and 50 hp more than the standard Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The 911 GT3 RS 4.0 will be sold with only a six-speed manual transmission.

Porsche gave it carbon fiber bucket seats, bonnet and front wings, and plastic rear windows. They also says the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 has weight-optimized carpets. If you’re going this far with weight reduction, why not remove them all together?
